Yanzhang_edited_edited.jpg

Yanzhang is an Australian-trained physiotherapist who has been practising after graduating from Curtin University in 2010. He furthered his clinical expertise by completing his Master’s in Clinical Physiotherapy in 2016 after achieving the prestigious Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship.

A firm believer in the resilience of the human body, Yanzhang’s interest in helping restore optimal movement and function have led him to seek training and expertise in various specialisations of physiotherapy in one of the one of the busiest hospitals in Singapore. He was able to work with renowned specialists in areas ranging from musculoskeletal and sports injuries, chronic pain and spine pain management, and vestibular and dizziness rehabilitation. This experience has allowed him to merge his clinical skills and training to provide a holistic approach to help his patients on their journey to recover their strength and capabilities. To optimise his patients’ outcomes, Yanzhang uses an evidence-based approach that employs the best principles of rehabilitative exercise, manual therapy, and pain science.

Having experienced first-hand the benefits of rehabilitative exercise, which have allowed him to continue training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu despite tearing both ACLs in his knees, Yanzhang continues to incorporate physical movement and training into his daily routine. Movement is essential for tissue recovery and health, and physiotherapy can help transcend the physical limitations imposed by pain and injuries.
